J-CTI is a 2-weeks trip to Japan in which participants get an immersive experience into the cultural and technological aspects of Japan. The program consists of (1) Tourist activities in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara, (2) Introductory seminars on Emering Technology topics, and (3) an academic visit to Mirai Innovation Research Institute to try out the latest technologies being developed at our labs .

The program includes:

EmFuTech Program Registration Fee

The Emergent Future Technology Training Program is 3-months intensive program that consists of technical seminars, mentorship and hand’s on experience industry projects in Osaka, Japan. Guided by the academy and industry experts who are innovating their fields, the program will give participants a well-rounded knowledge about cutting edge emergent technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Augmented/ Virtual Reality, Robotics, Computer Vision, IoT, Big Data, Cyber Security, Neuro-technologies, Nano-technologies and Aerospace technologies. Participants will be assigned an industry project provided by associate Japanese companies, in which they will analyze a particular challenge, design and propose an innovative solution using emergent technologies, and research-develop the technical solution in collaboration with peer participants guided by an assigned mentor.

MIRI Program Registration Fee

The Mirai Innovation Research Internship Program (MIRI) gives the opportunity to experience another culture, do research in a different academic/research environment, and pursue your specific research topics by involving international cooperation and collaboration with Mirai Innovation research specialists.

The main objective of the program is to support students to achieve their research goals in a laboratory of emergent technologies with the help of expert researchers and engineers.

You will do research activities as the main activity in this internship program supervised by Mirai Innovation Research Institute researchers.

Registration Fee: $420 USD (non-refundable) + tax (10%): $42 USD = $ 462 USD

Program Duration

The program duration is 4 to 12 weeks long.
The program start and end date can be freely set after consulting with Mirai Innovation Lab staff.
Participants are expected to go to the laboratory during working days (except Japanese holidays) to conduct their research project.
